Family Therapy

Family therapy is intended for anyone who is struggling with a relationship with someone in his/her family, whether biologically related or not. Family dynamics can be powerful forces that are often unconscious and difficult for a person to grasp. Family therapy will give each person the tools to identify the patterns that are contributing to challenging relationships. Family members often care so deeply for one another that they become angry and frustrated when a loved one is not living up to his/her potential. This care and concern can often be expressed as rejection and judgement, which leads to resentment and distance. Family therapy can be a very effective tool to repairing relationships in a family even if everyone in the family does not attend the sessions.
