Individual Therapy

Individual therapy is recommended for anyone who is feeling a sense of dissatisfaction with certain aspects of life. People are often looking for tools and skills to help them make positive changes in their lives and they will find those tools in individual therapy. The first full session will ask the individual to briefly describe his/her family of origin so that patterns from long ago can be viewed in the reality of today. Tools and skills are developed from the knowledge of those patterns so that a person can begin to make conscious choices rather than feeling driven by emotions. People who begin individual therapy are dealing with issues such as job dissatisfaction, low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, feeling “stuck,” and relationship struggles with a partner who is unwilling to come into couples counseling.
